About Me:
Darnell Shelton is the Executive Director of The B.AN.K. Foundation Inc., a non-profit organization in the Metro-Atlanta Community.
The B.A.N.K. Foundation Inc., vision is to create opportunities and awareness of mental wellness, financial literacy, and educational resources readily available to neighborhoods in need. Mr. Shelton is a native of East Point, GA.
A graduate of Morehouse College, 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Economics. He also completed a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, in 2019 at Belhaven University. He chose the path of Education and the non-profit sector and has created a trailblazing path in both fields over 10 + years. One of our initiatives is focusing on mental health care which helps increase productivity, enhance our self-image, and improve all relationships. Post-Secondary Education is another concentration that is beneficial to our society as a whole in nonmonetary ways. Such as better health, lower chances of committing crimes or going to jail, and a sense of self-empowerment. We will provide the necessary resources and events to help break the stigma associated with our black and brown communities. Also, Mr. Shelton serves as an Elementary School Counselor in Clayton County School District alongside his non-profit endeavors. He has dedicated his life to service and the youth; and still believes it takes a village to raise a child.
